Chemex Elegant Handblown Glass Two Quart Water Kettle and Hot or Cold Beverage Server - Unique Hand Blown Glass Carafe up to 2 Qts of Fluid Feature

  • Handblown Glass.
  • Functions to both boil water and serve beverages.
  • its nonporous glass will not affect the taste of a drink.
  • Part of the Museum of Modern Art New York's Permanent Collection.
  • The silicone stopper ensures that steam escapes without heating up with the glass neck, allowing it to be used as a handle.
A Truly elegant way to boil two quarts of water. The silicone tipped "steam stopper" leads steam up and out while the neck remains cool enough to function as a handle. Also used as a beverage server, its nonporous glass will not affect the taste of a drink...hot or cold. This work of art was designed in 1949 by Peter Schlumbohm and has been honored in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art (New York) and in other fine museums.
